Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is the primary executive authority for the formation and administration of rules, regulations, and legislation pertaining to micro, small, and medium enterprises in India. It is a branch of the Government of India. Narayan Rane is the Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.

According to the annual reports of the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), between 1994–95 and 2014–2015, the plan amount spent on the khadi industry increased from 1942.7 million to 14540 million, while non-plan amounts increased from 437 million to 2291 million. During this time, interest subsidies to khadi institutions climbed from $96.3 million to $314 million.
